Installing Valheim Plus on Your Valheim Server

Install Valheim Plus on your Valheim server to access built-in gameplay tweaks (stamina, inventory, building, and more) along with BepInEx plugin support. If you’re using the WinterNode Game Panel, our support team can handle the full installation for you.

Choose an Installation Method

Valheim Plus can be installed two ways:

• Full package (UnixServer.zip): Includes Valheim Plus and a bundled version of BepInEx. Best for fresh setups. The bundled BepInEx may not support the latest Valheim version.
• Plugin only (ValheimPlus.dll): Install Valheim Plus as a standard BepInEx plugin. Best if you already have BepInEx installed or need the latest Valheim version.

Method 1: Install the Full Package

1. Download UnixServer.zip from the Valheim Plus GitHub releases page
2. Extract the archive on your PC
3. Connect to your server via SFTP
4. Upload the extracted files to your server’s root directory
5. Follow the BepInEx startup steps to update your startup command
6. Start your server

Your server should come back Online within 1-2 minutes with Valheim Plus loaded.

Method 2: Install as a BepInEx Plugin

Use this method if you already have BepInEx installed, or if a Valheim update has broken the bundled BepInEx version.

1. Install BepInEx if you haven’t already
2. Download ValheimPlus.dll from the Valheim Plus GitHub releases page
3. Upload ValheimPlus.dll to /BepInEx/plugins on your server using the File Manager or SFTP
4. Restart your server

Configure Valheim Plus

Valheim Plus uses a configuration file at /BepInEx/config/valheim_plus.cfg to control all of its features. Most options are disabled by default. The full list of available settings is documented in the Valheim Plus GitHub README.

To change a setting:

1. Open /BepInEx/config/valheim_plus.cfg in the File Manager editor
2. Find the section for the feature you want to change (for example, [Game])
3. Set enabled to true for that section
4. Change the specific setting (for example, set disableFog to true)
5. Click Save
6. Restart your server to apply the changes
