If you’ve been paying attention to the hosting industry lately, you’ve probably noticed a trend. Provider after provider announcing price increases, citing hardware costs, supply chain issues, inflation. Some of our own customers have told us they’ve gotten those notices from other services in the past few months alone.
So let’s get straight to the point: your WinterNode prices are staying exactly where they are.
What’s Happening in the Industry
Hardware costs are climbing. Memory prices have surged. Other hosting companies are sending out notices and bumping their rates. You’ve probably already seen a few of those emails from other services you use.
We’ve felt it too. Our own infrastructure providers have raised costs on us. The pressure is real, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise.
But after looking at the numbers and thinking about what kind of company we want to be, we made a decision: we’re holding the line.
Why We Can Do This
Honestly, it comes down to you.
WinterNode has never taken investment money. We’re a small business with a passionate team. We’re not going to sell out to a holding company that bundles hosting brands together and squeezes margins. Every decision we make is ours, and one of the most important decisions we’ve made is to grow through value instead of price increases.
That’s only possible because of our customers. Your loyalty, your patience when we’re building something new, your willingness to stick with us. That’s what lets us make calls like this one. So before anything else: thank you.
What We’ve Been Building
While we’ve been holding prices, we haven’t been standing still.
In the past year alone, we launched Hytale servers on day one, expanded to Miami and Los Angeles, grew our game library to 26 titles across 8 locations, and launched the Ambassador Program so the people who recommend us can actually get paid for it.
There’s more on the way. We’ll share details when they’re ready.
How You Can Help
Since we’re choosing not to pass costs along to you, word of mouth matters more than ever. If you’ve had a good experience with WinterNode, here are the most impactful things you can do:
- Leave a review on Trustpilot. This is the single biggest thing. New customers check reviews before they buy. A quick, honest review helps more than you’d think.
- Tell someone. If you know a friend, a Discord community, or a server admin looking for hosting, point them our way.
- Join the Ambassador Program. Earn 50% commission on every referral. If you’re already recommending us, you might as well get paid for it.
Every review, every recommendation, every referral helps us keep doing things like not raising your prices.
Thank You
WinterNode started in 2019 with one Minecraft node and a belief that game server hosting could be better. Seven years later, the fundamentals haven’t changed. Fast servers, fair prices, real support, no corporate nonsense.
Thank you for being part of this. We’re excited about what the rest of 2026 has in store, and we’re glad you’re here for it.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Despite rising hardware and memory costs across the industry, we are keeping our game server hosting prices the same.
Third-party software license costs are set outside of our control, so we can't guarantee those indefinitely. However, there are no changes at this time.
