Satisfactory blueprints are not stored inside your save file, so uploading a save to your server does not bring them along. To get them onto your server, copy the blueprint files from your PC into the server’s blueprints folder for your session.

Step 1: Find Your Blueprints on Your PC

  1. Press Win+R to open the Run box
  2. Type %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\blueprints and press Enter
  3. Open the folder named after the session you made the blueprints in

You should see pairs of files such as Smelter Line.sbp and Smelter Line.sbpcfg. Steam and Epic both use this folder.

Step 2: Find Your Server’s Session Name

The server reads blueprints from a folder named exactly like its session. A folder with a different name is ignored.

  1. Open Satisfactory and click Server Manager on the title screen
  2. Select your server
  3. Open the Manage Saves tab, then the Load Save sub-tab
  4. Note the name of the Game/Session you play on in the sessions list

Copy the name exactly, including capital letters and spaces. If you uploaded your single player save, the session name is usually the same as on your PC, but check it here.

Step 3: Create the Server’s Blueprint Folder

The server creates its blueprints/<session name> folder the first time someone saves a blueprint in that session. If you have never saved a blueprint on the server, do this first.

  1. Join your server
  2. Build a Blueprint Designer and save any blueprint in it
  3. Leave the server

This creates the folder with the correct name, so you do not have to type it yourself. You can delete the test blueprint later.

Step 4: Stop Your Server

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and select your Satisfactory server
  2. Click Stop
  3. Wait until the server shows as Offline

Step 5: Upload the Blueprint Files

Upload both the .sbp and .sbpcfg file for each blueprint.

Option A: File Manager

  1. In the Game Control Panel sidebar, click File Manager
  2. Open .config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/blueprints/ (the first folder starts with a dot)
  3. Open the folder named after your session from Step 2
  4. Click Upload and select your .sbp and .sbpcfg files

The files should now be listed in the folder. See File Manager for more on uploading.

Option B: SFTP

Use SFTP for many blueprints or a slow connection. Connect with the details from Using SFTP, then copy the files into the same .config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/blueprints/<session name>/ folder.

.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/
  server/ <- your saves
  blueprints/
    <session name>/ <- your blueprints go here
      Smelter Line.sbp
      Smelter Line.sbpcfg

Step 6: Start Your Server and Check In Game

  1. In the Game Control Panel, click Start
  2. Wait for the server to show as Online
  3. Join the server and open the Blueprints tab of the Build Menu

Your uploaded blueprints should now be listed. New blueprint files only load when the save loads, which is why the restart is needed.

Download Blueprints From Your Server

Use this to back up blueprints made on the server, or to use them in single player.

  1. In the Game Control Panel sidebar, click File Manager
  2. Open .config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/blueprints/<session name>/
  3. Click the ellipsis on the right of a .sbp file and select Download
  4. Repeat for the matching .sbpcfg file
  5. On your PC, copy both files into %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\blueprints\<your local session name>\
  6. Load that save in Satisfactory

To download many at once, compress the session folder first. See File Manager for how to archive and download, or use SFTP.

Common Problems

Blueprints still missing after a restart: the session folder name does not match the server’s session name. Compare it with the name in Manage Saves letter by letter, then move the files into the correct folder.

You switched to a different session: blueprints are per session. Copy the files into the new session’s folder as well.

Blueprints stopped working after renaming the session: some older versions failed when the session name had unusual characters. Patch 1.2.4.0 fixed this, so keep your server updated.

Still Not Working?

Frequently Asked Questions

No. On PC, blueprints are stored in a separate blueprints folder, one subfolder per session name. Uploading a save through the Server Manager does not upload your blueprints. Copy the .sbp and .sbpcfg files to the server separately.

In %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\blueprints\<session name>. Each blueprint is a .sbp file plus a .sbpcfg file with the same name.

In .config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/blueprints/<session name>/, next to the server folder that holds your saves.

Yes. New blueprint files only show up after the save is reloaded, so stop the server before uploading and start it again afterward.

The .sbp file holds the blueprint itself. The .sbpcfg file holds its description, icon, and icon color. Upload both so the blueprint keeps its icon and description.
