Hytale Enable or disable voice chat on your Hytale server with a single command - no restart required.
Toggle Voice Chat from the Console
- In the Game Control Panel, click Console
- Type one of the following and press Enter:
- To enable:
/voice enabled true - To disable:
/voice enabled false
- To enable:
The change takes effect immediately.

You must be a server op to run this command in-game.
- Join your server
- Open the chat and run one of the following:
- To enable:
/voice enabled true - To disable:
/voice enabled false

Players Need to Enable Voice Chat Too
Turning voice chat on for the server doesn’t turn it on for players. Hytale ships with voice chat disabled on the client, so each player needs to:
- Open Settings → Audio
- Enable Voice Chat
- Pick their input device and input mode (push-to-talk or voice activation)
Voice chat can’t be enabled on Child accounts.

No. The /voice enabled command requires op permissions. Each player does need to turn on Voice Chat in their own Audio Settings before they can talk or hear others.
Voice chat is off by default on the client too. Each player needs to enable it in Settings > Audio. It can't be enabled on Child accounts.
