Using the Plugin Browser on Your Hytale Server

Install, manage, and remove plugins on your Hytale server using the built-in Plugin Browser - no manual file uploads required.

Finding the Plugin Browser

In your game panel, navigate to Tools > Plugin Browser. You’ll land on the Browse Plugins tab, which pulls plugins from CurseForge. From here you can search by name or filter by category - Mobs/Characters, Blocks, Food/Farming, Furniture, Gameplay, Library, Miscellaneous, Prefab, Quality of Life, Utility, and World Gen. The default sort is Most Popular, but you can page through results using the Previous Page and Next Page buttons.

If you want to check a plugin out before installing it, clicking View opens its CurseForge page in a new tab.

Installing a Plugin

1. Find the plugin you want using the search bar or category filters.
2. Click Install next to the plugin. It installs immediately - there’s no confirmation prompt.
3. Restart your server for the plugin to take effect.

Plugins always install the latest available version. If a plugin requires dependencies, they’re pulled in automatically - you don’t need to install them separately.

Managing Installed Plugins

Switch to the Installed tab at the top of the Plugin Browser to see everything currently on your server. From there, each plugin has three options:

• Uninstall - Removes the plugin. Restart your server afterward.
• Auto-update On / Off - Toggles whether this plugin updates automatically when a new version releases.
• View on CurseForge - Opens the plugin’s CurseForge page.

To update all installed plugins at once, click Check All Updates at the top of the Installed tab. This pulls the latest versions of any plugins that have updates available. Restart your server after updating to apply the changes.
