If the Game Control Panel opens but its power controls do not respond, check your device before treating this as a server outage.

macOS: Check Content & Privacy

  1. Open the Apple menu > System Settings.
  2. Click Screen Time in the sidebar.
  3. Click Content & Privacy.
  4. Temporarily turn off Content & Privacy.
  5. Reload the Game Control Panel and try the power control again.

If this fixes the panel, a Screen Time restriction was blocking part of it. On a managed or family device, ask the administrator before leaving restrictions off.

Windows: Optional DNS Test

This test was not confirmed as a fix for this error. Use it only to check whether DNS is involved.

  1. Note any DNS addresses already configured on your computer.
  2. Open Start > Settings > Network & internet.
  3. Select your active Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
  4. Next to DNS server assignment, click Edit.
  5. Change Automatic (DHCP) to Manual, turn on IPv4, and enter 1.1.1.1 as Preferred DNS and 1.0.0.1 as Alternate DNS.
  6. Click Save, then reload the Game Control Panel.

If the panel still does not work, change DNS server assignment back to Automatic (DHCP) and click Save. If you previously used custom DNS addresses, restore those instead.
