Options Reference

Server Name

The name displayed to players when joining. Defaults to WinterNode Core Keeper.

Server Password

The password players must enter to join the server. Maximum 28 characters.

A random password is generated automatically when your server is first created. To find or change it:

  1. Go to Server Options.
  2. Find the [CONFIG] Server Password field. The current password is shown here.
  3. Enter a new value to change it, or leave it as-is.

Share this password with anyone you want to allow onto the server.

Game ID

A custom Game ID players can use to find your server through Core Keeper’s built-in matchmaking. Must be at least 28 alphanumeric characters, excluding the letters Y, y, x and the characters O and 0.

Leave this field empty to have a new Game ID generated automatically each time the server starts.

Max Players

The maximum number of players allowed on the server at once. Accepts any value from 1 to 100. Defaults to 100.

World Index

Selects which world slot the server loads. Defaults to 0. Increment this to run a different world without overwriting the existing one.

World Seed

The seed used when generating a new world. Set to 0 to generate a random seed. This only has an effect the first time a world is created — changing it later will not affect an already-generated world.

World Mode

Sets the difficulty for the world. Accepts 0 for Normal or 1 for Hard. Defaults to 0.

Auto Update

Controls whether the server automatically updates to the latest version on each restart. Defaults to enabled (1). Set to 0 to disable.
